Privacy Policy

This page explains what AeoWatch collects when you use the site, request a free AI-visibility snapshot, or create an account — and how we use it. We keep it short and plain; it isn't legal advice, and we may update it as the product evolves.

What we collect

If you request a snapshot, we collect what you enter in the form: your email address and website, and optionally your industry and product-update preference. We also retain attribution data, a one-way hash of the requesting IP address for abuse prevention, and basic browser data. If you create an account, our authentication provider (Clerk) stores your email and login, and — if you subscribe — our payment provider (Stripe) handles billing; we never see or store your full card details. Inside the app we store the brands, competitors and prompts you choose to track. We also collect basic usage and device data via analytics (below).

How we use it

To generate and email the snapshot you request, run the product, prevent abuse, provide support, improve AeoWatch, and measure how well our marketing works. Generating a snapshot may send the website and generated buyer questions to the scraping, search, and AI service providers that perform those steps. Requesting a snapshot does not subscribe you to marketing. We send product updates only when you select the optional checkbox, and you can withdraw that choice at any time.

Analytics & advertising

We use PostHog (product analytics), Google Analytics, and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to understand how people find and use AeoWatch and to measure our advertising. These set cookies and may share limited event data (such as that a visit or snapshot request happened) with those providers. When you submit a form, we may use your email to connect that conversion to the same analytics journey. We do not sell your personal information; we share it only with the service providers that help us operate (authentication, payments, email, analytics), who process it on our behalf.

Retention & your choices

The anonymous workspace, AI answers, and measurement records created for a free snapshot are normally removed after 30 days. We retain the request record — including the email, domain, consent or suppression status, and compact result summary — for a reasonable period to deliver the service, prevent repeat abuse, and maintain our communication records, or until deletion is appropriate. You can ask to access or delete your data, or withdraw a product-update choice, at any time by emailing us. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe.
